Centrally located in the heart of The Great Waters, Newberry is nestled deep in the beautiful Lake Superior State Forest - a forest full of lakes, streams, woods, and wetlands. A forest where wildlife abounds: birds and fish are plentiful. A forest just waiting for you to come and enjoy its many wonders. Magnificent Lake Superior is the northern border of the Newberry area.

Located right at the mouth of the majestic Two Hearted River

39 sites are available for tent and small trailer use. These sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so no reservations are necessary. This rustic campground is located right at the mouth of the majestic Two Hearted River. Open May 15th through October 15th.

Muskallonge Lake State Park

Situated between Muskallonge Lake and the shores of Lake Superior, this campground offers 159 modern sites for use at Muskallonge Lake State Park. The park closes in winter.

Tahquamenon Falls State Park

One of the largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi, the Upper Falls has a drop of nearly 50 feet and is more than 200 feet across. Four miles downstream is the Lower Falls, a series of five smaller falls cascading around an island. The Tahquamenon Falls State Park offers year-round activities for the whole family!
